seed pod symmetry

seed pod symmetry

Furry seed pods I found last fall walking through the woods. They are covered by a dense fur that creates a stickiness that allows them to latch easily on to a falling branch, or a trouser leg as it passes by. Each pointed ovule holds a small black seed that falls as the pod moves. The pods have been sitting on my desk for months now, and the little tendrils have been amassing a fine layer of dust which has enhanced their already keen abilities to grasp and go.
