Here on the east coast of America we are enjoying a strange spring.  Last week the temperatures were in the seventies and eighties, and the spring flowering season was about three weeks premature.  The warmth isn’t following a heavy winter, although it’s still welcome.  It’s just unusual.  That said, I’ve been taking pictures of the beautiful flowering trees in my neighborhood:  here are pink dogwood and saucer magnolia.

  1. We seem to be following a similar pattern over here in the UK – last week we had really high temperatures for the time of year (up in the twenties), and this week their forecasting snow for Wednesday! Lovely photos.

    1. Thank you Richard! The mid west is getting the heat this week. It’s so demoralizing to have a government that won’t fully commit & try to actually do something, if we still can. I know that there was some sort of scandal involving email from British scientists about “ginning up” the results. Is that right? or was that the ginning up of the Iraq invasion, etc? You guys have a lot of scandals & gin. I think we need more of both.
